Following Europe's recent men's golf championship triumph, England Golf is pressing the government to support its bid to host the premier women's golf event in the country for the very first occasion.

This prestigious contest between the top women players of Europe and the United States has been held on two occasions in Scotland as well as once in Wales but never on English territory. An official proposal has been prepared to hold it at the Grove venue in Hertfordshire in 2030.
