A Memorable Date: The Couple's First Encounter

In a recent blind date setup, the couple shared their impressions about their evening together.

Jenny's Perspective

What were you hoping for?
A person I could connect with, share genuine laughter with, without any awkwardness.

First reactions?
When Nova arrived, relaxed style and presence, my first impression was: “He looks like that classic cool guy from high school.” However, when he smiled, apologised for being late, admitted it was a warning sign, and we were laughing in seconds. I was unexpectedly charmed.

What was your conversation like?
It was a proper easy-flowing conversation. He inquired about things, I made inquiries, without either dominating the conversation. Rare and refreshing.

Most awkward moment?
No uncomfortable situations occurred.

How were the dining etiquette?
Outstanding. No messy eating, no utensil disasters and not one slurp.

Best thing about Nova?
He’s funny, definite chivalrous attitude, and completely grounded. He gave me his jacket at the end of the night, in a genuine manner. Plus, his canine act – 10 out of 10 ridiculous, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Would you bring Nova around your social circle?
Without doubt, he’d end up in the group chat.

Characterize Nova with three adjectives
Comical, realistic, remarkably suave.

What do you think Nova made of you?
I think he liked me. We chatted nonstop and shared a cheeky kiss at the end.

Was there a second location?
Yes.

And … did you kiss?
A little one to seal the night. Standard conclusion to an unexpectedly great meeting.

If you could change one thing about the evening what would it be?
Only the brief waiting period and thinking every man was my date. I was exhausted before he showed up.

Score out of ten?
Strong nine.

Are you planning another meeting?
Yes – I’d like to see where this goes.

From Nova's Angle

What did you want from this?
No-cost dinner and enjoyable atmosphere – I got both!

First impressions?
Impressive, she knows how to handle drinks.

What did you talk about?
The evening involved comparing voice impressions. Accents aren't my strength, but my canine impression is top-notch.

Most embarrassing incident
The server inquired about dietary restrictions and she misunderstood and responded, “Thanks, you too.”

Proper dining etiquette?
We made a pact not to judge each other's manners, but it feels like the classic prisoner’s dilemma: are we both going to cooperate?

Best thing about Jenny?
She held her own in an arm-wrestle.

Would you introduce Jenny to your friends?
Hell yeah!

Summarize Jenny with three terms
Amusing, charismatic and animated.

What do you think Jenny made of you?
A great person? I am unsure.

Was there a second part to the evening?
We went to a bar.

And … did you kiss?
Someone smart advised me not to share such details.

What would you do differently?
As she was trying to show me something on her phone, there was a guy’s fully nude video on there. Hopefully that wouldn't have taken place, yet it became comical.

Marks out of 10?
A nine – deducting one due to that situation (I’m joking, it was more funny than bad).

Are you planning another date?
There's a good possibility.

They spent their time at a fashionable eating venue and both expressed interest in potential future meetings.
